Global ServicesShipping ServicesOver the years, the founders of Duraport Marine & Rail Terminal have received numerous requests for access to waterfront property from various Fortune 1,000 companies interested in locating in the North East Coast Region. The continued growth and maturity of world economies and global integration has fostered proportionate growth of international maritime trade. This growth has forced many companies to search for additional waterfront access and land. In an effort to supply the growing demand of their products in the global market place.
Services can be tailored to meet a customer’s project cargo special needs. As our facility most recently accommodated the joint venture of Weeks Marine & Kiewit construction for the PANYNJ path tunnel erosion protection project. Which included the fabrication assemble, lay down and storage of over five hundred 150 ton concrete mats trans-loaded onto barges. Our facility location and capabilities coupled with Jersey Pre Cast’s experience and Weeks/Kiewit Construction’s engineering made it possible to complete this project months ahead of schedule.
Duraport played an essential role in importing construction aggregate and has successfully received multiple 35,000 metric ton shipments of aggregate from St. George Newfoundland and New Brunswick Canada.

Duraport has completed trans loading and storage of several 300 ton oversized transformers, as well as off loading, rigging and transportation of several oversized siemans generators. Once again our port’s location and facility’s capability along with DonJon Marine Co., Inc. and Central Jersey Trucking & Rigging Service’s provided the clients easy access for heavy and oversized project cargo transportation and storage needs.

These are just a few of many projects our facility has accommodated over the years allowing customers the temporary use of our terminal & warehouse for their products allowing them to spend capital on manufacturing instead of investments in long term land & structure obligations.
